| The
Sherpas of Everest
This
film shows the long walk to Mount Everest from Katmandu and
gives a vivid account of the lives of these tough, hardy,
humorous people, the Sherpas, who live on the roof of the
world. As well as exciting pictures of Everest itself, there
are sequences inside the Sherpas' houses and a wedding. The
film ends with the unique Buddhist masked dances at Thyangboche
Monastery.
