Mountains of Glass
The
film of an expedition led by Eric Shipton the veteran mountaineer
and explorer, to the unexplored Darwin Range in Tierra del
Fuego, on the Beagle Channel. This is a region of fur seals,
where glaciers reach the sea, and winds are often over 100
miles an hour. The film shows the climbing of two unclimbed
peaks, as well as giving a vivid picture of the animals and
geography of this remote part of the world.
